Visa

Jamaica Family Visa

No Visa required for visit up to 30 days.

Over 30-day stay, applicants should present:

1. Passport with at least 6 months of validity
2. Completed visa application form signed by applicant.
3. Two (2) passport-size photographs (not older than 6 months)
4. RMB___405____ in cash for visa and processing fee
5. national ID (original &Copy)
6. Flight booking
7. Job reference letter (if employed) or a letter from the school attended by the child, stating name, title, length of service with company, whether trip is sponsored by company or individual and grant of permission to travel for period specified. The letter should have letter head, signature of person-in-charge, address and contact telephone number. (original)
8. Notarized kinship certificate, for a Child, proof of the parental relationship birth certificate is required ?(original)
9. Guardianship letter if the child is in the custody of a person other than the parent. (original)
10. A notarized letter of consent from a parent authorizing the child to travel with another person. (original)
11. An invitation letter from the relative in Jamaica, with undertaking to assume responsibility tor stay and return of the visitor.
12. Financial means for the travel such as bank statement or bank book (original & copy)
13. accommodation details including the specific address and telephone in Jamaica, or confirmed hotel booking
14. Copy of the inviter's passport & work permit, or national ID card (if he/she is Jamaican)

Jamaica Employment Visa

Applicants must submit:

• Passport with at least 6 months of validity
• Completed visa application form signed by applicant.
• Two (2) passport-size photographs (not older than 6 months)
• RMB__405__ in cash for visa and processing fee
• national ID (original &Copy)
• Air tickets booking
• Letter of approval of Work Permit from the Ministry of Labour and Social Security of Jamaica (original & copy)
• Employment contract signed by both the applicant and the future employer in Jamaica. (in English & Chinese)
• Evidence of certificates, diploma or skills certificate. (original & copy)
• Medical certificate from designated medical facility (original)
• Quarantine Certificate for employment as chef. (original)
• Notarized Police Certificate (not older than 1/2 year) (original)
• Job reference letter (if currently employed) stating name, title, length of service with company, whether trip is sponsored by company or individual and grant of permission to travel for period specified. • Jamaican employer's business registration.

Passport

REQUIREMENTS FOR FIRST TIME APPLICATION / RENEWAL OF A JAMAICAN PASSPORT- MINOR

1. Two completed application forms (Note: if the applicant is under 18 years, the signature on the Section E should be made by the applicant’s parents / guardian )
2. Two (2) identical colour passport-size photographs. One MUST be signed at the back by the Certifying Official who signed Section G on the Passport Application Form.
3. Notarized parents’ ID / guardian’s ID together with a letter of guardianship for the Guardians.
4. Expired Jamaican Passport (if applying for renewal of passport)
5. Original or notarized copy of Birth Certificate
6. Certificate of Citizenship if you were born outside Jamaica
7. Certified copy of Adoption Register (where applicable)
8. Applicant’s signature on a plain sheet of paper or the parents/guardian’s signature if the applicant is under 12 years.
9. The names, dates of? birth and places birth of the Applicant’s parents should be provided on a separate sheet of paper
10. Applicant’s mailing address, including the Postal Code should be submitted in Chinese on a separate sheet of paper.
11. Bank Draft in the sum of Thirty Pounds Sterling (￡30.00) made payable to “Permanent Secretary, Ministry of National Security”
12. Two hundred RMB(￥ 200) sent to the Embassy of Jamaica through the Post Office Savings Bank.

Requirements for Passport Application/Renewal-Adults

1. Applicant’s expired Jamaican Passport
2. Two Completed passport Application Forms
3. Applicant’s signature on a plain sheet of paper
4. Two identical passport-size photographs, frontal view taken not more than six (6) months prior to application (one MUST be signed at the back by the Certifying Official who signed Section G on the Passport Application Form). See Section 3.0 of Passport Application Form
5. Original Certificate of Jamaican Citizenship (if applicant was born abroad)
6. Applicant’s original Birth Certificate
7. Applicant’s original Marriage Certificate
8. Original of Final Divorce document (if divorced)
9. The names, dates of birth and places of birth of the applicant’s parents should be provided on a separate sheet of paper
10. Applicant’s mailing address, including the postal code should be submitted in Chinese on a separate sheet of paper
11. Bank Draft in the sum of Fifty Pounds Sterling (￡50.00) made payable to “Permanent Secretary, Ministry of National Security”
12. Two hundred RMB(￥ 200) sent to the Embassy of Jamaica through the Post Office Savings Bank or paid at the Embassy in cash if applicant resides in Beijing

Police Clearance

Applying for Jamaica Police Record

• Your passport
• Taxpayer Registration Number (TRN)
• 2 passport sized pictures
• Set of finger print chart (taken by Police)
• Postal Order in the amount of RMB200 for the Embassy’s processing fees
• Bank Draft for US$25 payable to the Permanent Secretary Ministry of Justice
• Applicant should write a letter requesting the assistance of the Embassy in procuring the police certificate on his/her behalf. The letter should contain last address in Jamaica as well as 2 or 3 references in Jamaica

Processing Time is 2-4 weeks
